Indian Air Force wins ‘Sahara City Homes Corporate Cup 09’ in breathtaking Final
Nagpur , March 2, 2009 : Indian Air Force won ‘Sahara City Homes Corporate Cup 09’ trophy in a breathtaking Final of this more than a month long 20-20 cricket tournament. Indian Air Force defeated Reliance Communications by 7 wickets and Man of the match Avinash Tiwari of Indian Air Force scored not out 22 Runs. The match was played at the cricket ground of Sahara City Homes, Nagpur which is a part of the Central Park and is among one of the special amenities and value additions of Sahara City Homes townships.
With the brilliant display of batting and bowling Indian Air Force, Reliance Communication, Persistent and Central Railway booked their places in the semi-finals of the tournament. In the first semi-final match Reliance Communication defeated Persistent by 7 wickets. Amir of Reliance communication was declared Man of the match with 32 runs and 3 wickets to his credit. In the second semi-final match with their exuberant performance Indian Air Force defeated Central Railway by 2 wickets. Man of the match Rajesh Babu of Indian Air Force scored 22 Runs.
The winning team was honored by the Winner Trophy. Each player of the winning team honored with the DVD player and each player of losing team awarded with a dinner set. ‘Man of the Series’ was awarded with a Colour TV and all 31 Man of the Match players received a dinner set each. After their thrilling performance in the tournament ‘Best Bowler’ and ‘Best Batsman’ walked away with Microwave Oven.
